Rather than maintaining fixed on-ground infrastructure, we operate through a network of carefully selected legal and procurement partners in East and West Africa. This capital-light model is designed to maximize flexibility, reduce overheads, and unlock value across every stage of the gold value chain.

Our Story
Qualia Life LLC FZ was originally established in 2022 as a wellness technology company. However, by the end of 2023, the business was strategically restructured into a gold trading enterprise, with the existing name retained for administrative continuity and operational efficiency.
From 2023 through late 2024, the company, in collaboration with local partners based in Jakarta, Indonesia, pursued an ambitious exploration initiative in the Papua region. The objective was to build a secure gold ore supply chain by engaging artisanal mining communities and establishing a reliable processing route. While early efforts yielded promising sourcing prospects, the regulatory landscape and security environment in the region evolved significantly during the period, impacting long-term viability. In parallel, our Jakarta-based partners underwent internal restructuring and ultimately chose not to continue with the project.
In response, we strategically pivoted towards Africa in late 2024 — beginning with Kenya. Today, we operate through a trusted partnership with a Kenya-headquartered firm that provides on-ground procurement support across both Kenya and Tanzania.
In Uganda, the Republic of Guinea, and Sierra Leone, we have established strong legal frameworks and on-ground procurement support through our trusted network of partners. Additionally, we are actively exploring opportunities in Rwanda and Zimbabwe, with the aim of expanding our structured gold trading footprint across these key markets.
Mr. Jegannathan - Chairman
Mr. Jegannathan brings over 35 years of experience in financial services, having held senior leadership roles across banking, investment advisory, and regulatory frameworks. His extensive exposure to international finance and structured transactions provides the company with a strong foundation in corporate governance, risk management, and strategic capital deployment. As Chairman, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term vision and institutionalizing operational discipline.
Mr. Anirudh Jegannathan - Chief Executive Officer
With a background in business psychology and over six years of entrepreneurial experience, Mr. Anirudh brings a fresh, analytical, and people-centric approach to leading the company. Over the past three years, he has immersed himself in the global gold trade — studying market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, sourcing models, and trade structures across multiple geographies. This intensive research and hands-on experience have enabled him to identify a clear niche where the company can operate effectively: a capital-light, compliance-driven model that leverages local partnerships and global trade hubs.
